What is a CGM? How does it work?

A Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) is a small device that tracks your glucose levels. Unlike traditional finger-prick tests, a CGM is a sensor that continuously measures your glucose levels in real time. The small sensor (with a flexible wire filament of <0.4 mm that is inserted just below the skin) which is placed on the skin of the upper arm, measures your blood glucose levels from interstitial fluid. This is the fluid that surrounds cells in the body and provides a similar reading to glucose measured directly in the blood.

Your data will be collected from the sensor by the FreeStyle LibreLink App and transferred to the Hello Inside app to be analyzed. You will then be offered recommendations and insights based on your personal data.
