A continuous glucose monitor (CGM) is a small device that monitors your blood sugar levels. Unlike conventional tests, the CGM measures your blood sugar levels in real time and continuously.

The small sensor (with a flexible filament of <0.4 mm that is inserted just under the skin) is placed on the back of the upper arm and measures your blood sugar level using tissue fluid. This is the fluid that surrounds the cells and thus provides a similar reading to the values measured directly in the blood. 

Your data is collected by the sensor via the Libre by Abott App and transferred to the Hello Inside app for analysis.
